It seems that at all times we only do what we want to do.  There is nothing that we have done, or will ever do, that is not voluntary on our part.  There is always some other option that we could take that would free us from having to do something that we truly do not want to do.  Given, there are out side factors that influence what we want to do, never the less, We only do what we want.  When we complain that we have to do what we do not want to do, we are in fact complaining that we do not appreciate the circumstances that have influenced us to do what we are now doing.  So when I complain to myself that I did not want to come to work today I am only lying to myself.  Indeed I did want to come to work today or else I would not be at work.   What I really want is to live in a world that does not involve the necessity for me to go to work in order to survive and pay my bills.  If this were the case then I would not want to go to work and, sure enough, would not go to.  If only that world existed!
